Up for auction is a very nice looking tabletop philco radio. This radio is made of wood, and i od believe it is a 1932 model #52c. This five tube radio was a battery type radio when it was brand new. Somewhere along the lien someone added an electrical cord to it for power.
When plugged in and turned on this handsome philco radio powers up and lights up, but does not play. This radios case is in good condition with the normal age marks you will find in a radio of its age. There are no cracks in the case of tihs radio. I tried to show the dings and wear marks that aer on this radio. Please loko at photos.This radio has htree knobs which all work fine. A left on/off knob, a center tuning knob, and a right side volume knob. The slight problem with this radio is the base has a splinter of wood missing from it. This is in the rear of the radio on the bottom, and does not show or deter from the beauty of this radio. Again, please olok at photo. This is a very heavy radio, weighing over 22 pounds without packaging. This radio measures approximately 17 3/4 long, stands about 10 1/4 tall and is about 7 5/8 wide not counting knobs.
