Atwater Kent Model 165 About ten years ago i gto interested in old radios, mostly zeniths. A dear elderly friend of the family was nice enough to give em this atwater kent that i believe they bought new. She said they used it for years before moving it to the garage to play over the work bench. The cord got old so they cut it and then just put the radio away. I never had the heart to tell her that i didn't care much for cathedral style radios, it was such a thoughtful gift.
She died a few years ago so i've decided to let this go to a good home wehre someone can appreciate it. The case is solid with few minor nicks or scratches, the finish is good but a little thin around the base, decals are complete and tight. The broken piece in the grill is the only serious flaw, but i suspect an easy fix using the other side as a reverse pattern. Tuner dial turns freely, but i don't know if this radio works or not. It appears complete and original and i don't think anyone has ever refinished it. The photos seem to be a pretty accurate assessment of cosmetics no worse or better than it appears. Feel free to ask questions, and i'll gte back asap. These days yoru guess is a good as mine on shipping costs. I would think $25.00 will cover it. Good luck and happy bidding!
