Beautiful Philco Model 90 Cathedral Radio WorkingHere is a georgous philco model 90 cathedral radio, it has 9 tubes in it, it has been electronically restored back in 2005 by a licensed radio repair technician. It plays loud & clear on all stations across the dial, it runs cool so there is no worry about this set overheating and causing a fire, it will play all day long with no problems.
The cabinet on this radio is darn near mint as shown in the pics, the grille cloth looks originla with no problems, the cabinet joints are good and tight, there is no veneer problems with this radio. It will play great with out an antenna wire connected to it. I've owned this radio since 1966, i bought it from the second owner in the asme family, ralated by marriage.
I've kept it in a cool, dry envirement all these years, i have kept the wood preserved with pure lemon oil all the years that i've owned it, thats why the cabinet is so nice today. This is the classic model that you see in a lot of old movies, magazines and such. The wooden grille fret work is awesome condition.
The knobs are all original to this radio. I've seen philco radio's like this in local antique shops across the midwest in pretty crappy non working condition, and missing a lot of parts for around $500- 795.00. I really odubt if you will find too many of this model 90's around in this near mint condition. I have a reserve price set to protect my investment in this radio. The original power cord was replaced with the original type cloth covered cord.
Shipping, packing materials and insurance will be $50.00, by fedex, if the shipping is less than this amount, i will refund the difference. I will only accept a us postal money order as payment for this radio. Please note that this is a very big, heavy radio.
