Here we have a stunning and rarely seen 1938 emerson model 228-2 featuring teh highly collectible and very desirable ingraham cabinet. Cabinet nothing compares to the beauty, quality, and elegance of an ingraham cabinet and this one is just spectacular. Made out of high qualiyt walnut the art deco cabinet is in superb condition.
Stunning 'tiger striped' owod grain runs throughout the entire set and really catches your eye. The grill is comprised of horizontal running louvers taht protrude from the front a nice looking feature.

The base of the radoi is made up of two separated wood strips making for a real art deco look. Jet black pin striping, the famous emerson 'g' clef logo, and the ingraham cabinet tag on the bottom of the cabinet finish this set off with the utmost elegance and class. This beauty is sure to be the highlight of nay room in the home or office you choose to display it in.

The cabinet's finish all of our radio cabinets undergo a vigorous restoration process using a minimum 12 coats of mohawk brand lacquers and toners. A 1000, 2000, & 4000 grit wet sanding follows every third coat. The process is finished off with a three stpe polishing process with a final oz glaze rub. Many hours of work are put into these cabinets but as you can see, the final outcome is a beautiful cabinet with a silk smooth finish and gorgeous luster & shine. Our radios are a great pieec of history that come to you ready to proudly display, as well as listen to, in any room of the house or office.

Dial/knobs the black and gold 'sunburst' dila is in excellent condition. All numbers representing station frequencies are legible and show little signs of wear. The dial light glows a nice warm orange and works as it should. The dial cover is in godo condition showing minimal signs of wear or scuffing. A new one can be delivered if the new owner wishes but this one displays just fine. The airplane dial pointer is straight and moves around the dial nice and smooth. Both knobs are in excellent condition. They are secure and turn nicely. Electronics/chassis the 5 tube chsasis is in excellent condition. It is clean and rust free. The chassis features a built in olop antenna that works perfect and allows for sensitive reception. The radio plays great with lots of volume and no hum. All of our sets chassis's are thoroughly cleaned, lubed and realigned.
All tubes, caps and resistors are tseted and replaced as needed. I will include a 30 day warranty on the tubes, caps and filters. Dimensions 13 ½w x 8 ½h x 5 ¾d. Approximate shipping cost $33 east coast, $42 central, $48 west coast.
