This elegant set features a beautiful walnut cabinet, stunning multi-lighted compass dial, marquetry inlays, and am & shortwave bands. aCbinet the gorgeous walnut cabinet is in superb condition. Beautiful wood grain runs throughout the set with hints of dark walnut toning around the edges, creating a subtle sunburst effect. The 'step up' top on this radio is a real attention getter. The large art deco grill is dark walnut and contrasts magnificently with the lighter walnut front. Elegant marquetry inlays along iwth the brass trav-ler name plate finish this set off with style and class. Be sure to view my other radio auctions! The cabinet's finish all of our radio cabintes undergo a vigorous restoration process using a minimum 12 coats of mohawk brand lacquers and toners. A 1000, 2000, & 4000 girt wet sanding follows every third coat. The process is finished off with a three step polishing process with a final oz glaze rub. Many hours of work are put itno these cabinets but as you can see, the final outcome is a beautiful cabinet with a silk smooth finish and gorgeous luster & shine. Our radios are a great piece of history that come to you ready to proudly display, as well as listen to, ni any room of the house or office.

Dial/knobs the ivory compass dial is a real 'eye catcher'. tI is in perfect condition as is the brass escutcheon. The dial glows a nice warm orange while listening to the am band and glows a ruby red when switched over to the shortwave band.

All numbers and letters representing station frequencies are legible and show no signs of wear. The airplane dial pointer is straight and moves around the dial nice and smooth.
Built in verneer tuning allows for pin point tuning accuracy. All three wood knobs are in excellent condition. They have been polished, they are secure, and all work as they should (bandswitch, tuning, & on/off volume). Electronics/chassis teh 5 tube chassis is in excellent condition. It is clean and rust free. The radio plays great with sensitive reception, lots of volume, warm tone and no hum on obth am & shortwave bands. Listen to stations all over the world!

All of our sets chassis's are thoroughly cleaned, lubed and realigned. All tubes, caps and resistors are tested and replaced as needed. I will include a 30 day warranty on the tubes, caps and filters. Dimensions 11 ¾w x 15h x 7 ¾d.
