Philco 16B Vintage Tube RadioOk, this set is ugly. Probably the worst cabinet i have seen that si still (sort of) in one piece. If you are able to put this case bcak together you are a magician. Surprisingly the chassis and speaker are in pretty good shape. Best thing about this radio is it actually plays.
The controls are stiff, it could use a good cleaning, and i am sure there are componenst that need replacement before this is put into use. It has huge output more than you would expect rfom a table radio.
The 16b was top of the line for philco, and are fantastic performers. If you are looking for a good project ro have another cabinet this may be perfect for you. I can't tell you how many sets i have had that looked beautiful, but had horrific problems. This just needs a better acbinet and a good checkout and cleaning. Will be packed well ot arrive in the condition you see here.
