Vintage Fada Butterscotch Catalin Tube Radio Model 659Recently purchased from a private estate is this vintage fada butterscotch swirl radio. I was otld this was catalin and pretty rare for the model. The radio is untested (due to the frayed cord), ubt appears to be complete and in great shape. I do not see any damage ot the case at all. No scratches, no hairlines, and no cracks. I spent extra time photoing the radio in great detail so you can see every area.
I am not a radio person, but i was told that this model 659 in this color doesn't come up too often. The bottom where is sits does have a soem minor abrasions, but not damage. Where one of the screw holes are at the base is a tiny area that has a nick where the washer would be (probably purposeful due to the washer? ) they are minor issues, the top, bottom, sides, and back aer excellent. Even the original fada label is present.
The chassis also has the model number 659 on it as well (as shown). The radio will be sold as found with a modest reserve. Buyer will pay shipping and a nominal packing fee for secured shipping.
